We are pleased to announce the Adventist Robotics League pilot of the First Tech Challenge (FTC) for next year.  We are still working out the details but here is what we can share at this time.

First Tech Challenge is for high school teams.  Our goal is to move all high school team to this event at some time in the future leaving the Lego portion of the event for ages 9-14 to match FLL guidelines.

The pilot competition for the ARL First Tech Challenge will be held at Andrews University.  The date is yet to be determined but it will probably fall in late March or early April.  This will be the only challenge event in the ARL system next year.  Teams are welcome to come from anywhere to participate in the event.  We strongly encourage high school teams in the Lake Union to participate in this challenge.  If you already of Lego Mindstorm kits we would suggest that you pass those down to your upper elementary students as you move on to the new system.

There is a new platform.  For information on this platform visit http://www.firsttechchallenge.blogspot.com/   Check back on this site often for updates from FIRST.  We will also send you updates about how we will integrate is challenge into our system.

If you have questions during any portion of this process, please feel free to call or e-mail me.
